Bag Sizes

From large to small, we will create the perfect carrier bags to suit your needs. All of our plastic, plastic-free and paper bags are available in a wide range of sizes.

We have provided large bags for homeware stores selling large household goods, toy stores and heavy duty carrier bags for automotive stores. At the opposite end of the scale we have made small bags which have been used for jewellers, goody bags at parties and small vaping products.

Using our online quotation tool, you will see a number of the 'standard sizes' listed. However all of our bags are bespoke so they can be made to your exact specification, in any size required.

Each carrier bags is measured using width, length and bottom gusset and we have provided a couple of examples below to demonstrate this in our size guides.

Flat Handle Paper Bags

• 180x102x230mm or 7x4x9" - closest to A5 paper size in portrait orientation - smallest standard size perfect for notebooks, pens & other merchandise. Some of our customers include vape shops, merchandise companies & event organisers. 

• 180x102x340mm or 7x4x13" - same width as the smallest size but taller - perfect for food items & tall enough to fit soft drinks, some of our customers include sandwich shops, delis & bakeries.

• Bespoke - if none of the standard sizes above work, tell us the specific dimensions you need for orders over 10,000 bags - the handles will then be internal on these orders

Twisted Handle Paper Bags

• 260x130x360mm or 10x5x14" - closest to A4 paper size in portrait orientation - great for wine/spirits, candles & clothing. Some of our customers include distilleries, confectionary & home fragrance.

• 320x130x420mm or 12.5x5x16.5" - closest to A3 paper size in portrait orientation - great for purchases of multiple items, some customers include bakeries, farm shops & takeaways.

• 450x130x360mm or 18x5x14" - closest to A3 paper size in landscape orientation - perfect for clothing & shoeboxes. 

• 450x130x460mm or 18x5x18" - largest standard size in a square shape - perfect for cushions, winter coats and larger heavier items.

• Bespoke - if none of the standard sizes above work, tell us the specific dimensions you need for orders over 10,000 bags and our dedicated custom production line will be able to accommodate this

Punched / Patch / Loop / Sugarcane Carrier bags

The sizes listed below are our standard & most popular, however we can produce almost any size for orders over 5,000 bags. 

• 8x10" or 200x250mm - closest to A5 paper size - portrait orientation - the smallest size & great for postcards, keyrings & confectionary

• 8x12 or 200x300mm (a 3" gusset is also available on this size) - portrait orientation - slightly taller than the smallest size & great for vape shops & other small items 

• 10x12" or 250x300mm (a 3" gusset is also available on this size) - portrait orientation - great for vape shops & other small items

• 10x16+3" or 250x406x75mm - portrait orientation - popular at events to fit brochures & merchandise

• 12x18+3" or 305x457x75mm - portrait orientation - perfect for bottles of wine & spirits 

• 15x18+3" or 380x457x75mm - portrait orientation - the most popular size, especially for clothing & takeaways (can be produced without handles for grab-style bags)

• 18x18+3" or 457x457x75mm - square - the most commonly used supermarket size

• 22x18+3" or 560x457x75mm - landscape orientation - great for larger clothing such as school uniform, shoes & sportswear 

• 24x18+3" or 560x457x75mm - landscape orientation - perfect for homeware & garden centre purchases

• 26x18+3" or 660x457x75mm - landscape orientation (a 20" or 22" height is available on this size) great for fishing gear 

• 30x18+3" or 760x457x75mm - landscape orientation (a 20" or 22"  height is available on this size) - perfect for toy shops & bigger boxes
